Immunological properties of Ukrain (NSC 631570) Ukrain modulates the natural defense system against developing cancer

Professor Liepins, from the University of Newfoundland, has demonstrated, by means of scanning electron microscopy, that after Ukrain treatment the lymphocytes become capable of killing cancer cells.

These properties have been proven in vitro, in vivo as well as clinically.

One of the most important mechanisms of Ukrain’s anti-tumor action is regulation of the immune system and its effect on lymphocytes which enables them to attack cancer cells.

Ukrain increases the level of NK cells, corrects the number of T-helper and T-suppressor cells and normalizes the T-helper/T-suppressor ratio. In mice with implanted Lewis carcinoma Ukrain increased the levels of lymphocytes, large granulocytes and mononuclear cells and activated macrophages [8,12,17,26].
