Small cell lung cancer, histologically verified. UKRAIN therapy started on 12 May 1983 [2].

In May 1983, a central small-cell lung cancer with mediastinal lymph nodes involvement was diagnosed in a 73 year-old man. Six chemotherapy cycles were administered and the patient was treated with UKRAIN during the breaks: 6 cycles, each one consisting of 10 i.v. injections of 20 mg, twice a week. A complete tumour remission was achieved.
